松埃尺蛾是马尾松的一种新害虫，该虫在福建一年发生２代，以蛹越冬，翌年３月下旬羽化，幼虫５龄，卵期１０～１２天，幼虫期２３～３８天，越冬代蛹期１３６～１８０天，每雌可产卵３２８～５２７粒，成虫寿命３～８Ｒ，该虫多发生在避风、郁闭度高的中幼龄松林中．

Ectropis crepuscularia(Denis&Schiffernuller)is a new pest of Piuns massoniana.It has two generations each year and overwinters with pupa in Fujian Province.The adult moth begins to appear in late March.The larvae generally have five instars.The egg stage lasts 10～12 days.The larval stage lasts 23～38 days and the overwintering pupal stage lasts 136～180 days.Each female can lay 328 to 527 eggs.The adult moth lasts 3～8 days. The pest generally occurs in the pure stand of shelter from the wind and high canopy density.
