this article introduces the requirements of performance and techniques of the bearing course and tack coat for the specialized Shanghai F1 circuit. The selection of the crude oil for F1 circuit, optimization of the production techniques and the control of quality index were focused on. The result shows that, with the high quality bitumen processed from imported specialized crude oil, this type of bitumen achieves the requirements of design and techniques for the specialized heavy duty bitumen. The engineering projects suggest that ： this specialized bitumen has excellent performance overall and stable quality to meet the construction of F1 circuit.
