随着计算机和网络在图书馆广泛运用,给分类编目工作带来了生机,分类编目通过网络链接揭示更多的信息,从而拓展了分类编目的职能。分类编目今后的着力点,一是就继续做好和加强纸质文献信息的分类编目工作,二是应积极探索网络条件下分类编目工作的特点和规律,推动文献信息资源共享和提高文献信息资源利用率。

Along with the extensive application of computers and networks in library, it has brought vigor to classification and cataloging work. Classification and cataloging will reveal even more information when linking with networks, thus it has expanded the function of classification and cataloging. The future strengthening points of classification and cataloging are as follows： one is to continue to do better and strengthen paper bibliographic information classification and cataloging work; the second is to actively explore the characters and rules of classification and cataloging work under network environment, so as to promote bibliographic information resource sharing and improve the utilization rate of bibliographic information resources.
