试论英语教学中的文化背景

在英语教学实践中,只重视语言诸方面(语音、语调、语法等),而忽略对该语言文化背景知识的了解,直接影响到该语言的学习。本文从社会学和文化语言学的角度,论述了文化背景是英语学习必不可少的知识之一。

In the practice of English teaching, if we only pay attention to linguistic aspects and neglect the cultural background knowledge, it will affect the language acquisition. The paper points out that the cultural background in English is the necessary knowledge from the angle of the sociology and cultural linguistics.
