梁启超女子教育思想的价值意蕴丰富而深刻。他认为作新民为第一急务,开民智为第一要义,兴学校为第一政事,办女学为学校本原之本原,兴女学具有“开民智”、“争平等”、“生民利”、“宜家善种”、“造就新民”等多重价值。惟有通过新式女子教育,才能培养具有“民德”、“民智”、“民力”等素质的女“新民”。在他的女子教育思想中,将“女德”与“女红”、“启蒙”与“救亡”、“立人”与“立国”、“小我”与“大我”、“实然”与“应然”、“经济独立”与“人格平等”结合起来,促进了中国女子教育的发展,推动了中国教育的近代化进程。

Liang Qichao＇s Views on women＇s education are profound and far-reaching. He stressed the urgency of fostering new types of citizens, the importance of enlightening the people, and the necessity of opening schools, especially schools for women. He argued that the opening of women＇ s schools took the highest priority in so much as it could help to bring about the enlightenment, equality, as well as the quality improvement on the part of the whole nation, and even to facilitate the character reshaping of new-type citizens. Only through the employment of new modes of education can women be turned into＇ new-type human beings＇ with good morality, sound wisdom and superb strength. Liang＇s ideology on women＇s education has greatly motivated the development of the course of women＇ s education and hence have accelerated the modernization drive of Chinese educational course for the fact that he put much emphasis on the education of women in terms of the combination of moral sense improvement and working ability enhancement, enlightening and saving the nation from destruction, self-respect and patriotisms, individualism and collectivism, realism and idealism, economic independence and equality with men.
