The Keggin structure of tungstosilicatic heteropolyanion substituted with Co2+,SiW11O39Co(H2O)6-,have been intercalated into the interlayer of Zn2Al hydrotalcite by means of organic-anionpillared precusor.Zn2AISiW11Co was characterized by XRD,IR and elementary analysis.The results show that Zn2AlSiW11Co is a layered complex with gallery height of 0.95 nm and the anions enterring the layer retain the Keggin structure.It was shown that this kind of pillared layered catalyst had high activity and selectivity for the oxidation of benzaldehyde to benzoic acid using H2O2as oxidant in liquid-solid phase system.
