Decorative Leather Techniques Use in the West Fashion Design

通过对皮革装饰进行系统分类的基础上,以皮革装饰在现代服装设计中的体现为依托点,分析其在现代服装设计领域的表现形式,特别是针对20世纪60年代以后设计师对皮革装饰手法的创新运用作详细分析。剖析皮革装饰在现代服装设计中运用现象的文化背景和成因,在此基础上预测皮革装饰在服装中运用的未来趋势。

This paper classifies the decorative leather techniques. Then it analyzes how to use the decorative leather techniques in the western fashion design through some example about the designer＇ collection especially described the creative use about the techniques after the 1960s. The paper also gives the reason why the designers like to use this kind of techniques. It is hoped that the history about decorative leather techniques is known clearly and it will do some help for our own fashion design.
