摘要
辛亥革命胜利后,民初教育部为新思想、新制度推行的需要而积极倡行社会教育,并把图书馆建设视为社会教育的有效措施之一,努力倡行。这种在开启民智、普及教育立场上对图书馆的认识和利用,有其思想渊源和社会背景,对近代图书馆事业有重要的贡献。
After the victory of Revolution of 1911 ,the Education Ministry in the early days of Republic of China promoted the social education actively and proposed building libraries as one of the effective measures of the social education in order to promote the new thought and new system. The understanding and exploitation to the library in developing the interllect and ability of the people, the universal education position have the thought origin, the social backgrounds, and the important contribution to the modern library cause.
