This paper introduced an accident of explosion took place in an air conditioning compressor crankcase on board. The explosion is proved to be caused by the high-concentrated oil mist in the crankcase by the research on the spot, recall of the witnesses and analysis of the explosion principle. Proper operating rules should be observed to ensure safery on board.
