Commercial index is the criteron of differentiating ore from nonore materials as well as the basis of designating commercial orebody and calculating commercial reserve. Whether the drawing up and application of commercial index are reasonable or not influences directly the course of gold prospecting, extent of the utlization of resources and economic benefit of a mine. Besides the influential factors and principles of drawing up commercial index, the contents and necessity of the dynamic application of commercial index are put forward in this paper.
