选取明清两代9位作家、学者,取个案研究路向,勾勒中国散文从明代“文人之文”向清代“学者之文”类型转换的文学史脉络,陈平原的《从文人之文到学者之文》于散文通史与断代史之外,别创新径。从具体对象入手,强调文本细读,突出阅读体味和文学感觉,同时兼顾内部研究与外部研究的结合和互援,尚友古人,知人论世。课堂实录的讲坛文体,不失为书斋著述之外的成功尝试。

CHEN Ping-yuan gives up the traditional method of describing the general history and dynastic history of Chinese literature in his new essay ＂From Articles of Writers to Articles of Scholars＂. He adopts an original approach of case study to draw the outline of this transitional patterns through analyzing 9 writers and scholars in Ming and Ding Dynasty. He starts this successful attempt from particular objects, emphasizing the importance of intensive reading, highlighting the tastes and feelings gained through it, giving considerations to both interior research and exterior research of literature, valuing ancient people and discussing wordly matters.
