Cultural Communication and Not Following the Husband's Traditional Custom in Buyi Ethnic Group

“不落夫家”习俗形成之前,布依族的婚俗是自由恋爱、自由缔结婚姻关系。由于文化接触而受汉族文化影响,布依族婚俗中吸收了许多与早期不同的婚姻观念,加入了说亲、定亲、接亲等过程,这些程序和观念与传统的自由恋爱和自由缔结婚姻关系的习俗发生冲突,产生了“不落夫家”习俗。“不落夫家”是对包办婚姻和早婚的反抗,在自由恋爱和自由缔结婚姻关系的时代是没有“不落夫家”习俗的。

Buyi ethnic group enjoyed a custom of ＂love and marry freely＂ until the forming of a new custom ＂not following the husband＇s tradition＂. Owing to the cultural communication and heavily influenced by Han culture, the marriage of Buyi absorbed many other concepts, such as matchmaker, engagement and meeting the care-cloth. This process and concept collided with the traditional way of free love and free marry thus produced a new custom of ＂not following the husband＂ traditions. The new custom was the revolt to the custom that parents were on the whole show and early marriage in marriage affair. In the days when free love and free marriage existed, there was not the custom of ＂not following the husband＇s tradition＂.
