自从1982年美国学者莫里斯·迈斯纳提出毛泽东研究中的民粹主义问题后,学术界对这一问题展开了广泛的研究。值得注意的是这种研究始终伴随着争论,甚至爆发过激烈的争论。这在毛泽东研究领域乃至整个学术界也是一个比较奇特而令人关注的现象。对这个问题二十多年来的研究作以述评具有重要的理论与实践意义。
