摘要 介绍和评析了人类大脑语言运作机制的理论,即单机制理论和双机制理论。它们的根本分歧在于语言在人脑中的表征和处理是由单一系统还是两个系统完成的。试验表明,双机制理论的解释力更强。文章还进一步探讨了双机制理论对外语词汇教学的启示。 This article introduces the theories of human language processing mechanism, including single-mechanism theories and dual-mechanism theories. Their fundamental differences lie whether language is represented and processed by a single mechanism or two mechanisms. Experimental results show dual-mechanism theories have more powerful explanation. Finally, the implications of dual-mechanism theories to vocabulary teaching in ELF are explored.
