Transfer Redundancy in C-E Translation

迁移作为一种心理机制能够诱发翻译中的过度冗余,从而降低信息交流的效能。本文讨论汉英翻译中存在的迁移性冗余现象,结合实例分析其性质和特点,并就如何改进翻译教学提出几点建议。

Transfer from the source language can trigger excessive redundancy in translation, leading to decline of the efficiency of information exchange. This paper, focusing on the phenomenon of transfer redundancy in Chinese-English translation, makes an analysis of the nature and characteristics of transfer redundancy with illustrations of examples, and concludes with suggestions concerning translation teaching.
