The on-line measurement of the ash content of coal is a key technique urgently needed in coal industry,Inprinciple it can be realized using nuclear technology.But it is practical only when microcomputer is intreduced.The paper describes the microcomputer technique used in the on-line measurement of the ash content of coal bybi-energy γ ray transmission method。(
