道家文艺否定论辨析

On the Aesthetics of Taoism

道家并非是文艺否定论者,其对文学艺术等诸多审美活动均有着精辟独到的见解。道家认为,审美感受并非单纯的感官知觉,而是一种感觉与理解、情感与理智、主观与客观高度统一的状态;丑的外形之中完全可以包含超越于丑的形体的精神美。率性而行,自然素朴,是道家所推崇的最高美学理想。

Taoism is not the negativist against literature and art, on the contrary, there are many excellent opinions. Natural and simple are the supremacy of Taoism. Aesthetic feelings are not mere physical senses but a mood of sense with understanding, sensibility with intellect, and subjective with objective. There may exist spiritual beauty superior to physical unattractiveness.
