In order to find an effective way to control the pavement quality in construction process and reduce the water damage of the asphalt pavement, analysis is made on the segregation of the asphalt pavement, and given a method of detecting and evaluating the segregation through measuring the texture depth of asphalt pavement surface. This method serves a precision suited to the pavement construction and the advantages of low cost and facility. It is helpful to improve the pavement quality and prolong the pavement lifespan, and is a very promising method of detection and evaluation of pavement.
