With the deep development of power system reform, scientific decision making becomes more and more important for electric power enterpries. In order to cut down the manufacturing and management hazard and improve scientific decision, the research on fundamentals and methods of power technology economy is d great significance. Combining power system with power technology economy, the break- even point method for power system production and management decision is proposed, and the application field and its characteristics are analyzed.
