他是一个才华出众的民间艺人,其作品曾先后在前苏联、日本、前东德等国展出。在三十多年前那场毁灭文化的浩劫中, 这位名震川南的剪纸艺人投河自尽。

Yu Manbai was an outstanding paper-cutting folk artist and his handicrafts were put on exhibition in such countries as the Soviet Union, Japan and the Federal Republic of Germany. Unfortunately, during the ＂Cultural Revolution＂ which proved to be an unheard-of disaster to the culture more than 30 years ago, this paper-cutting artist who was well known all over southern Sichuan drowned himself in a river.
