摘要
书院注重传授儒学知识和道德修养,尤其强调教师的“身教”和学生的践行。为了养成生徒的诚信品德,书院教之以儒学经义,化之以圣贤名儒,训之以学规箴言,逐渐形成了一套相对完整的诚信教化机制。
Academies of classical learning gave priority to imparting Confucian knowledge as well as the fosterage of students' ethical attainment. Teachers' personal examples and students' practice were especially emphasized. In order to nurture the students to possess a virtue of honesty and faith, the academies not only taught true meanings of Confucian classics but also instructed the students with academic regulations and maxims. Thus formed a relatively complete mechanism of faith and honesty education.
