A Review of the Renminbi Exchange Rates Policy:From the Perspective of Globalization

在2005年持续上升的贸易顺差和外汇储备增长之后,人民币重新面临升值的压力。这一问题需要从全球化的新格局来把握,需要与扩大内需的政策结合起来考虑,也需要明确汇率政策的目标定位,增强汇率问题的国际沟通协调能力。

The continuously increased trade surplus and foreign exchange reserves have exerted new pressure on Renminbi for its re-evaluation. This problem, however, need to be reviewed from a new perspective of globalization. Demand and expanding domestic demand needs to be combined together for consideration, objectives of exchange rates policies need to be clarified, and international communicating and coordinating capability are expected to be strengthened.
