The Development Trend of World Forestry Science and Technology and the Countermeasures

本文在回顾了本世纪林业科技的发展的基础上，对当前世界林业科学技术发展趋势进行了归纳分析，对世界林业科学技术进行了展望。

Abstract The author reviewes a series of epochmaking breakthroughs in forestry science and technology since the latter half of the 20th century,such as the breakthroughs in the field of breeding, seedling culture, intensive cultivation, the important progress in forest ecology, and acending of wood industry technique to the ranks of modern industry technology and so on. The paper discusses the development trend of modern forest science and technology. The Author holds that the main trends are as follows: Silviculture science and technology is deepening towards the functional division; forest ecology is expanded to forest environment science; wood and chemical processing science and technology are transformed into integrated development and further processing; forestry science and technology are equiped with modern information techniques; the external science and technology are widely shifting towards forestry; the traditional forestry discipline is broken up, newly borne and died out; the 'sustainable utilization' is promoted to' sustainable development'. The Author lookes forward to the future development of the forestry science and technology on the basis of the following 4 aspects:(1) The possible economic and social formation;(2)21st century is the century of green science and technology;(3)The new type of forest tree planting line will be created by biological technology; (4)The traditional forestry will be discarded by the principle of sustainable development. The Author also puts forward some countermeasures for the development of China′s forestry science and technology.
