Why Mahan's theory of sea power had slight influence on Chinese Navy

马汉“海权论”的问世,直接促使了德、日、俄、美等国近代海军的崛起,但却对中国影响甚微。究其原因,主要有中国在全球所处地理位置、内部地理环境结构、经济形态、政治体制、时局影响等多种因素。21世纪上述因素及其结构已发生巨大变化,现代中国人更应强化自身的海洋意识。

Mahan＇ s theory of sea power directly caused the rapid development of the navy of Germany, Japan, Russia, America, and so on. But it only had slight influence on Chinese navy, the reasons for which are the geographical location of China, the inner structure of geographical environment, the economic formation, the political system;the current political situation,etc.Great changes have taken place in the above-mentioned factors and their structure in the 21st century and modern Chinese people should strengthen their sense of sea.
