摘要
抗战时期,我国的高等教育受到了无情的摧残。沦陷区高校被迫拆迁后方,校产损失严重,加之战时经济异常困难,许多高校到后方后举步维艰,苦于支撑,西南联大就是其中多灾多难的一所。为克服困难,坚持办学,西南联大决定开展生产自救。当时联大有一批出色的工科人才和高级技工,并保留了一些从北平抢运出来的机械设备,利用这些人才与设备的优势,在解决困难方面应该是有所作为的。于是,西南联大办起了清华服务社,面向社会开展制造、加工、维修、养殖等多项业务,服务社会,创收自救。清华服务社坚持理性创收经营,开展业务急社会之所急,积极承担盟军后勤建设;创收分配公而无偏,充分体现团队精神,不仅保障了教师生活、稳定了学校,而且也直接支持了抗战。
Southwest Allied University in period of the war of resistance against Japan, in the perilous position that the wartime economy was particularly difficult and the school was near closing down, carried out a movement of saving oneself by engaging in production positively, and made huge dedication for ensuring the teachers' life, stabilizing the school and raising the education level. And, further, Southwest Allied University, through its rational action for gaining, set an example for today's universities how to choose price during engaging in movement for gaining.
