The reconstruction of rollover accident is a complex process which needs contemplation on the three stages of a rollover accident, including Pre-trip phase, Trip phase, and Post-trip phase.The article elaborates on the common models and methods for reconstruction analysis, introducing the general computing methods or reconstruction steps, the goal and key technical points of 2-D and 3-D reconstruction and using computer to assist the analysis. In the reconstruction, the process of automobile movement, instantaneous speed and stance in the air can provide scientific evidence for dealing with the accident as well as responsibility identification. It also helps to improve the structure of auto body and the design of on board passive safety equipment.
