摘要
配对框(Paired box)首先是在果蝇的分节基因中发现的一段DNA保守序列,编码能与DNA特异结合的一个蛋白质结构域。这些序列在进化中有一定的保守性,在许多种生物基因组内存在,其中包括小鼠和人。至今为止,在小鼠中分离到九个含配对框的Pax基因,按基因发现时序,分别定名为Pax 1至Pax 9。Pax 7是其中的一个成员,它不但含有配对框,还含有八肽结构(Octapeptide)
Pax 7 is a member of mouse Pax gene family. It was expressed from day 8 to 17 p. c. during murine embryogenesis, mainly restricted to the central nerve systems. Additional Pax 7 expression could be followed during myogenesis from the derma-myotome of the somites to the skeletal muscle tissues. For the first time, we demonstrated that Pax 7 is expressed in mouse myoblast cell line, C 2 C 12. The exp-
ression of Pax 7 was blocked when C 2 C12 cells were induced to differentiate into myotube. Moreover, cells of mesodermal origin, in particular of the mouse embryo fibroblast cell line C3H10T1/2 which were especially permissive to the action of myogenic HLH proteins, did not express Pax 7. These results suggest that Pax 7 may be a suppressive factor for the myoblast differentiation of C 2 C 12 cells in vitro.
