Reflection on English Teaching in Higher Vocational Schools

如何完善我国高等职业教育体系,以适应新时期经济发展的需要,是目前教育界十分关注的问题。对高职高专英语教学来说面临着更大的挑战,高职高专教育培养目标是培养具有基本素质的生产第一线的应用型人才。改革英语教学模式,加强师资队伍建设,改革教学方法,培养学生自主学习能力,使高职高专院校英语教学在激烈的市场竞争中求得更快更好的发展。

Nowadays, people in the field of education attach great importance to how to perfect the higher vocational education in China in order to meet the need of economic development. This exerts a great challenge to the higher vocational English teaching. Our teaching objective is to train practical qulified personnel for enterprises. So we must reform English teaching mode, improve teachers＇ quality and students＇ ability of self-study. As a consequence, the higher vocational English education will have a healthy development in the heated market competition.
