Zhang Jingsheng was one of the famous thinkers in the time of the May 4th Movement. He studied in France for 8 years dabbling in a variety of theories and formed his thoughts on women＇s liberation, birth planning, sexual education, and marriage and family reform. The thoughts were one part of the efforts of some radical intellectuals during the time of the May 4th Movement who tried explored the approach to improving Chinese society and culture, which played an active role in changing the society and advancing the culture.
