徘徊于“通”与“专”之间——关于现代文学的若干思考

Wandering between “Universal” and “Specific”: Considerations on Modern Literature

强烈的开创意识和较为广博的知识积累,使一批具有留学背景的现代作家在诸多领域奋力开拓并颇有收获,但由此带来的“通”与“专”之间的徘徊和矛盾,在许多方面造成种种弊端,比如在思想资源的引进、吸收和消化以及运用思想资源指导具体实践等方面都存在较为严重的局限,尤其是程度不同地影响到一代学人的文学研究和创作成就,并给现代文学留下了诸多遗憾。如何认识自己和自我定位,这是现代作家群体留给我们的最重要的思考之一。

The strong desire of pioneering and the broad accumulation of knowledge have made modern writers with overseas background painstakingly innovate and somehow succeed in many fields, and therefore give rise to the wanderings and contradictions between the universal and the specific, the results of which are, on the one hand, demerits in such domains as the introduction, absorption and digestion of intellectual resources and on the other, limitations on the concrete application of these resources. More preeminent is the fact that they have at different extent exerted a bad influence on the literary studies and creation of a generation, all these constitute the regrets we feel for modern literature. To know and find oneself a proper place is one of the most important reconsiderations that the community of modern writers has left for us.
