This paper brief introduces the situation that China depends on importing petroleum more and more as the increase of petroleum expenditure and how to develop and utilize the substitute energy,such as natural gas,coal,oil shale,oil sand,biomass power etc. Combining with China actual situation, it suggests the emphasis on coal as the complement and substituting energy source for petroleum.
