We All Love the City Where We Live

2005年10月13日.重庆市市长王鸿举在第五届亚太城市市长峰会的市长圆桌会上一席铿锵热切的话语,表达了100多位与会市长的共同心愿。王鸿举说:“尽管我们来自不同的国家不同的城市,有着不同的风格和个性,但一样的是,我们都深爱着自己所在的城市,我们同样拥有和谐发展的理念。”本届亚太城市市长峰会,紧扣“城市·人·自然”这一主题,举行了两次市长圆桌会议、三场主题发言和八场专题讨论。20多位市长、10多位企业C〔O、10多位专家以及3位前政要做了专题演讲和发言,大家在分享城市发展经验的同时尹还共同探讨了城市发展中的规划、就业、生态环保等问题。一位经济学专家在听完精彩纷呈的城市对话后,兴奋地向记者表示:“我们倾听到的分明是城市·人·自然和谐共生,以促进亚太地区城市可持续发展的城市追求。”

At the 2005 Asia Pacific Cities Summit, two roundtable mayor conferences, three theme speeches and eight seminars were held. The eight seminars include： ＂Amid Clamour： Recover the Green and Quiet Homeland＂,＂Employment Expansion： Create Opportunities for a Fair Society＂, ＂Harmonious and Considerate： Urban Communities＇ Untiring Pursuit＂, ＂On the Way Forward： Seek Good Opportunities for Development and Make Good Use of External Strengths＂, ＂Industrial Pulse： Life Spring for City＇s Vitality＂, ＂New Administration： Expand Intelligence for Running a City＂, ＂Charged with Important Tasks： Create a Harmonious Society and Protect the Natural Environment＂ and ＂Sustained Development： Face the Development of Private Ownership and Narrow the Gap Between the Rich and the Poor＂.
