There is a sense of expressionist oil painting in Lu Xun＇ s works. The oil painting lines in Lu Xun＇ s works are filled with strength. Those lines along with strong brush marks and vivid colors comprise the visual image of ＂whirlpool＂. The color of Lu Xun＇s works is characterized by a fierce struggle between the cold and the warm color system, which is identical with Lu Xun＇ s philosophy of ＂resist despair＂. Lu Xun has created two different visual images of ＂life＂ and ＂death＂, which can be compared with those of Van Gogh and of Munch respectively. Lun Xun has also created images of ＂pedestrian＂, which are the elevation of ＂life＂ images and the exceed of ＂death＂ images.
