张爱玲的创作属“女性主义文学”吗?

张爱玲本质上不属于“女性主义”作家。她以女人的细腻和敏感描写世界,更是以女人对女人的刻毒来写女人。她笔下的女人只会使人替她们感到悲哀,却无法让人喜欢她们。她笔下女性命运的悲惨,虽然也有男人、社会、礼教的因素,但更多的是自己虚荣、自私、小心眼儿、软弱、嫉妒、自制力差、庸俗势利等劣性造成的。她的作品全没有“女性意识”的因子,更没有把“女性解放”之类的“女性意识”作为作品的主旨。

Zhang Ai-ling doesn＇t belong to the writers of feminism in nature. She describes the world in a womanly fineness and sensitiveness, and describes other women in a way of acrimony of women to women. The female characters in her works can only make readers feel sorrow for them rather love for them. There are many factors resulting in the tragedies of those female characters in her works; apart from those from males, society and conventional prejudices on females, many more come from their own inferiorness such as their vanities, selfishness, narrow- mindedness, weakness, jealousy, poor self-control, vulgarity and snobbishness. There is no element of female awareness in her works, let alone female awareness of women liberation to be as the major idea of her works.
