The\ 1 H NMR spectra of etherial extracts of 19 wild Qian Hu (Radix Peucedani) were tested and analyzed. According to the coumarin types of main chemical component, the identification for 19 species were completed, in which 9 species were firstly reported. The 10 Qian Hu containing angular type dihydropyrano coumarins should be grouped into Bei Hua Qian Hu type (Radix Peucedani praeruptori type) and the 8 Qian Hu containing linear type dihydropyrano coumarins or linear type dihydrofurano coumarins should be grouped into Zi Hua Qian Hu type (Radix Peucedani decursivi type). The results showed that the\ 1 H NMR method is a quick, simple and reliable test method for identification Chinese crude drug of Peucedanum L.
