摘要 The theory on Krashen’s monitoring pattern is one of the most influenced theories in the field of studying the second language and at the same time it arouses lots of comments and disputes. The paper will comment on the criticism to the five hypothetical theories which were included in Krashen’s monitoring theory so as to review and grasp comprehensively the theory offering new train of thought for the further research and development in studying the second language. The theory on Krashen＇s monitoring pattern is one of the most influenced theories in the field of studying the second language, and at the same time it arouses lots of comments and disputes. The paper will comment on the criticism to the five hypothetical theories which were included in Krashen＇s monitoring theory so as to review and grasp comprehensively the theory, offering new train of thought for the further research and development in studying the second language.
