民国时期华北麦作改进可以分为四个阶段,每个阶段麦作改进的背景、因素有所不同;民国时期华北麦作改进以农业高等院校、政府农业改进机构和农事试验场为推进主体,以小麦良种选育及推广为重点,取得了一定成绩;民国时期华北地区以小麦良种选育和推广为核心的麦作改进在我国麦作发展史上具有重要意义。
