A Soul Lament for the Sake of Existence——A Preliminary Study of Humanitarianism in Ba Jin′s Later Works

巴金是一个有社会责任和良知的作家,其作品从未放弃过对光明、自由、平等的社会制度的探索与追求。通过对其后期作品小说的分析,阐述了他对社会底层“小人物”命运的人文关怀,并对他的“人类至上”的人道主义思想给予了通俗理解和诠释。

Ba Jin, one of the greater writers with social commitment and conscience, never stops searching for a bright, free and equal social system. This paper, through an analysis of Ba Jin＇s later works, dwells upon his compassion as well as sympathy for the fate of those living at the bottom of the society. It also sheds light on his humanitarian ideas that ＂humans are superior to everything＂
