Factors exerting influence on the quality of raised heavy fabric are analyzed, including qualities of grey fabric and cotton yarn, machinery property, as well as pretreatment process. Rational pretreatment is defined, such as the recipe, machines and relevant parameters of cold bleaching, scouring and bleaching, mercerizing. During the raising and shearing stage, raising cycles should be strictly controlled, otherwise it will exert negative influence on the handle, strength and shrinkage. Maintenance also is very important. In reactive dyeing, alkali addition is the key point, as it will cause the reactive dyestuff hydrolysis.
