Analysis on the Proposition of White Horse Is Non-horse by Using Law of Identity

本文旨在通过一个新的角度给“白马非马”这一哲学命题以新的剖析,主要的分析手段是形式逻辑学三大定律之一———同一律。通过分析,对原命题的逻辑思路有了全面的清晰认识。最后得出结论:只有遵循同一律的论证才是有意义的。

This paper aims at giving a new analysis on the philosophical proposition of ＂white horse is non-horse＂ from a new angle and by using law of identity, which is one of the three laws for formal logic. Through analyzing, the thoughtway of the given proposition becomes clearer, which infers that whether the proposition is right or not depends on how to define the concepts included in the given proposition. Finally, the paper concludes that no demonstration would be meaningful unless law of identity is obeyed.
