边缘检测是图像处理中的一个重要环节,本文主要针对传统微分算法的不足之处,从图像边缘的特性入手,提出一种基于方向信息的改进算法.文章介绍了改进算法的构造机理,通过实验与传统算法进行了比较,验证了该算法的可行性.同时表明该算法是对边缘检测算法的一种很好的补充.

Edge detection is a critical step in image processing. This paper analyzes the traditional edge detection methods. By utilizing the direction information of image edge, an improved image edge detection method is presented which overcomes the in- sufficiency of those derivative edge detection operators. The theoretical analysis of the proposed method and the experimental results indicate that the proposed approach is feasible and is a good supplement to the edge detection.
