Syntagmatic Relations and the Classification of Japanese Auxiliary Verbs

句段关系是共时语法研究中最为重要的着眼点之一。日语补助动词在句段关系上存在一个明显的特征,这个特征反映了相应的语义差异。根据这种句法特征可把日语的补助动词分为三类。同时,这种句法特征符合日语句法的总原则,即先命题、时范畴、再情态的句法顺序。

It is the syntactic relation that is one of the important parts in the synchronic grammatical research. There is definite syntagmatic characteristic in Japanese auxiliary verbs which reflects the corresponding semantic difference. Based on the syntactic characteristic, Japanese auxiliary verbs can be divided into three types. Also, such syntactic characteristic corresponds with the general principle of Japanese syntax, that is, proposition, category and then modal.
