Archaeology in Denmark

丹麦是北欧的一个小国。在整个历史上，丹麦有着肥沃的土地、良好的牧场、森林和丰富的渔业资源，因此它有能力养育众多的人口。燧石和沼泽中的铁矿常见，此外没有其他金属。今天的丹麦是一个高效有序的、有着灵活的经济和社会组织的现代化国家，丹麦人对生活方式、文化乃至历史的重要性有着高度的意识。

The rich material history of Denmark has been attracting many Danish people to participate in the archaeological practice. With scientific archaeological thinking and activities, Danish archaeology has contributed a lot to the development of archaeology worldwide. Danish archaeology features in chronological issues and solid archaeological judgement, which is different from the other archaeological schools in western countries. Besides, from the very beginning, archaeology is not taken as a national subject, but as a way of gaining insight into the past internationally.
