通常把防风固土,改善(美化)环境作为公路绿化的主要目标,而公路绿化带作为重要的生态廊道,其重要的生态功能之一应该是保护生物多样性。当前公路绿化大多借用园林绿化模式,不仅增加了绿化和管护成本,而且其生态功能和生态安全也不能得到有效保证。公路绿化应该符合生态走廊的建设要求,采用恢复天然植被的方法进行绿化,才能充分发挥公路绿化的综合生态功能和效益。
