Key Universities in National Defense R&D in China

建立巩固的国防是我国现代化建设的战略任务,是维护国家安全统一和全面建设小康社会的重要保障。教育部属高等学校以其卓越的科技创新能力,逐渐成为国防科研的一支重要力量。这些相关高校逐渐广泛而深入地参与到国防科研中来,为我国国防科技的发展作出了重要贡献。本文研究了教育部属相关高校国防科研的现状、特点与优势,并探讨了如何发挥高校优势,参与到国防科研中去。

Defense building is crucial for national modernization and for safeguarding the sovereignty and welfare of the state. The universities directly administrated by the Ministry of Education are important force for R＆D of defense in China. These universities have made a major contribution to the development of defense science and technology through their extensive and substantial participation of in defense research and development （R＆D）. This study investigates the current state, characteristics and strengths of defense-related research in those universities, and explores how the universities can further enhance their role in national defense.
