小说《廊桥遗梦》的主人公罗伯特.金凯和《查特莱夫人的情人》的主人公奥利弗.梅勒斯为捍卫属于人类本原的“人性自由”和“灵性的独立”,以相似的特立独行与世俗世界进行的抗争充满了浓郁的悲剧色彩,但由于两人具有各自极为复杂的性格,以及作者创作心理机制的不同,两人的命运及抗争结局走向了两极。
The struggling against the profane world of which Robert Kincaid in Bridges of Madison Country and Oliver Mellors in Lady Chatterley＇s Lover, both tried to safeguard the freedom of human nature and the spiritual independence showed strong tragic colors in two novels.However, due to their own complicated characters, and the authors＂ own special writing psychology mechanism, finally, the two heroes＂ resists and destinies revealed the two-terminal polarity.
