90年代以来,余华创作了三部长篇小说,从内容到形式发生了重大变化。在内容上,他改变了以往那种和现实的紧张关系,不再沉迷于暴力和死亡,而用悲悯的眼光注视底层人民的苦难生活,发掘出他们身上具有的人性魅力。他抛弃了先锋小说贵族化的叙述方式,完成了向传统艺术回归。

From 1990s,Yuhua created three novels which appeared a great change from content to formality. In content,he improved the taut relationship with reality ,and didn＇ t indulge in violence and death any more. Instead he laid his sympathized eyes on the hard life of poor people who beared fascinating humanity charming. He didn＇t use the exquisite narrative pattern of pioneer novel, and switched to the traditional art.
