An Newfound Exotic Pest in South China,Quadrastichus erythrinae Kim

刺桐姬小蜂属外来有害生物,在我国大陆首次发现,已被列为我国植物检疫性有害生物。该虫生活周期短,生殖力很强,每个月可完成1代,并且世代重叠严重,已对深圳、珠海、东莞、中山等珠三角地区及福建厦门和海南三亚等地的刺桐属植物造成严重的危害。

An exotic pest, Quadrastichus erythrinae kim, was first found in South China recently, and it has been in the list of the quarantine harmful organisms in China. The insect is a tiny wasp, with a short life cycle and strong fecundity. It takes only about one month to develop one generation and the generations lap over each oth- er. The pest has caused a great damage to the Erythfina （ Linn. ） genus plants in some areas of Guangdong, Fujian and Hainan provinces, especially at the Zhujiang Delta including Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Dongguan and Zhongshan, Guangdong province, and Xiamen city of Fujian province and Sanya city of Hainan Island.
