An Introduction to Lao She's Comments on Wen Shuo in Ancient Chinese

《文学概论讲义》是老舍三十年代初教书时写的教材,他以开放的眼光,以西方文学理论为参照,指出了中国历代“文说”缺乏科学性。突出地表现在:论说的主要对象不是“文学”,而是大而泛之“文”;主要目的不在“文学”,而在如何利用“文学”;论说的态度上有盲目崇古排外倾向,不太注意语境的时空变化。

Teaching Materials on an Introduction to Literature was written by Lao She while he was teaching in the early 1930s. As an open - minded theorist, based on the western literature theories, Lao She pointed out that Wen Shuo in ancient Chinese was not seientitle enough, especially on the fact that instead of the literature itself, the argumentation subjects in the theories were Wen; and as for how to make proper use of literature, the argumentation attitudes showed the tendency of blind faith in ancient things with an exclusion of the foreign things. No enough attention was payed to the spatial change of contexts.
