治穷致富、快速发展国民经济,大力发展国民教育、大量培养人才就是治国根本。美国近代教育的兴旺发达,经济的高速发展就是一个例证。美国各级政府通过各种教育立法、采取多种行政支持措施,运用财政资助教育事业,开展多种形式推广普及全民教育。对于一个以“移民”著称于世的国家,教育成为了到美国谋生的不同肤色、不同民族、不同宗教、不同传统、不同文化的众多移民美国化的熔炉。美国针对不同群体的教育方式,对教育事业的重视以及所采取的发展措施,对我国民族教育的改善与发展具有一定的借鉴与启示作用。

Famous as a migrant nation, its education became a melting pot for those who made a living in America of different colors, different nationalities, different religions, different traditions and different cultures. America adopted different measures for different groups, laid great emphasis on education and took effective measures, which had some referencial and inspirational significance for the improvement and development of Chinese education.
